F2 Sprint Race review: Silverstone, UK 2018

Charouz Racing System extended its point-scoring run in the FIA Formula 2 Championship to ten consecutive races as Louis Delétraz finished P5 at Silverstone in the UK today.

The Czech team’s results at the seventh round of the 2018 series (6-8 July) also helped it to strengthen its grip on P3 in the Teams’ Championship. Having scored points in every F2 race since the beginning of May, the Charouz squad now leads fourth-placed DAMS Racing by 10 points with five events remaining.

The team’s British Grand Prix weekend got off to a positive start on Friday afternoon as drivers Antonio Fuoco and Louis Delétraz qualified strongly in hot and sticky conditions.

F2 Feature Race review: Silverstone, UK 2018

Antonio Fuoco gave Charouz Racing System its sixth FIA Formula 2 Championship podium of the season this afternoon as he finished P3 in the Feature Race at Silverstone in the UK.

Team-mate Louis Delétraz also had a successful first race at the home of the British Grand Prix as he came out on top during a thrilling three-way battle for P4 in his ADS Securities-supported car.

Both men got the seventh round of the 2018 series off to a positive start on Friday afternoon as they overcame track temperatures of 52°c to qualify strongly. Antonio went third fastest while Louis joined him on the second row of the grid in P4.

With blue skies and sunshine aplenty, temperatures rocketed once again for Saturday’s 29-lap Feature Race. Both drivers...
