F2 Sprint Race review: Le Castellet 2018

Charouz Racing System completed a successful weekend of FIA Formula 2 Championship racing in France today (24 June) as it added impressive P2 and P4 finishes in the Sprint Race to the P4 and P6 results it scored during yesterday’s dramatic Feature Race.

Louis Delétraz’s P2 success in the 21-lap Sprint encounter at Circuit Paul Ricard gave the Czech team its third podium finish in as many races, while team-mate Antonio’s Fuoco’s battling P4 performance in the same race moved the rookie team into P5 (out of 10 teams) in the F2 teams’ championship.

Fresh from its memorable one-two finish at the Monaco Grand Prix event last month, Charouz was immediately on the leading pace at this weekend’s F2 round in Southern France.

F2 FEATURE RACE REVIEW: LE CASTELLET 2018

Charouz Racing System scored an impressive double points finish during an eventful FIA Formula 2 Championship race at Circuit Paul Ricard in France today (23 June).

Eager to build on its double podium at the Monaco Grand Prix event last month, the Czech team showed some hugely impressive speed during the 30-lap race on the fast and flowing Le Castellet track.

The reward was a P4 finish for Ferrari Academy Driver Antonio Fuoco, while ADS Securities-supported team-mate Louis Delétraz fought his way to a strong P6. Both drivers moved up a place in the results when podium finisher Roberto Merhi was disqualified after the race.

The fifth round of the 2018 season kicked off with a Friday qualifying session that proved to be more challenging...
